Make room for grace.
Attend a Walk.
Step away from the everyday and spend a weekend growing closer to Jesus Christ through worship, prayer, learning, and fellowship.
The Walk to Emmaus is a three-day Christian spiritual renewal experience beginning Thursday evening. It is an invitation to deepen your faith and return to your local church and daily life renewed for service.
Is a Walk right for me?
Emmaus is for practicing Christians who want to deepen their relationship with Jesus and grow in discipleship and service.
- Adults age 18 and older.
- Christians from different denominations and local churches.
- People willing to participate in the full Thursday evening – Sunday weekend.
- Those open to worship, learning, and sharing in small groups.
You do not need to have all the answers. Come willing to listen, participate, and grow.
Each participant needs a sponsor who has attended an Emmaus Walk. The application also requires the candidate’s pastor’s signature.

A few things you may be wondering
What happens during the weekend?
You will hear fifteen talks by clergy and laypeople, participate in small-group discussions, and share in singing, prayer, worship, and daily Holy Communion. The purpose is to strengthen your Christian life and service in your church and community.
Do I have to belong to a particular denomination?
No. Three Rivers Walk to Emmaus is an ecumenical Christian community. Participants come from different denominations. Talk with your sponsor about how the weekend supports your involvement in your own local church.
What if I have dietary, mobility, or medical needs?
Discuss your needs with your sponsor and the registrar before committing. Include the requested information on your application so TRWE can discuss arrangements with you. Every effort will be made by TRWE for you to attend.
What should I bring, and when should I arrive?
Your confirmation information and sponsor will provide arrival instructions and a packing list. Ask about bedding, clothing, toiletries, medications, and any other items you need before the weekend.
What happens after the Walk?
The journey continues in your “Fourth Day” — daily life with Christ. Reunion groups, community gatherings, and opportunities to serve help you stay connected while remaining active in your local church.
